Finally caved in and bought myself my very first doujinshi! Well, two of them. And an Ouran poster. Christmas present to myself, not that I won't buy more. At least I can tell myself that that's what it is for now.

The doujinshi are both Lavi x Allen, because they are my random-as-anything pairing addiction at the moment. Srsly maybe I should actually watch more of the show or something? Nah? Well, at least I own some of the manga.

And the poster is adorable. I think I will put it on my door, to have the hosts staring at me while I try to sleep. 'Cause that won't be bizarre or anything.

Just saw New Moon (1 viewing down, 2 to go). It was infinitely better than Twilight, for reasons that are named Rob Pattinson not to be named.

Essentially, my reaction to the book was the opposite of my reaction to the movie.

Book = uggggggh stop angsting Bella, Jacob's annoying, OH HOORAY EDWARD'S BACK!!!

Movie = wow, the interaction between Bella and Jacob and Bella and the high school-ites is entertaining! Intentionally funny! This is awesome! OH SHIT EDWARD THAT HORRIBLE ACTOR IS BACK.

If they could just make the rest of the movies without him, I would be really happy. Is that too much to ask? Different actor, PLZ.

Oh, and that moment where he took off his shirt? After an entire movie of buff, hairless chests, that was revolting.

Remember when you were Cedric? That was awesome. I wish you had left it at that.

Not bad for a first attempt, I'd say. Some of it doesn't make as much sense as I'd like. . . 2 & 3 actually had backstories, but I didn't have enough time to explain T.T #10 just came out like it was writing itself. I might actually expand it into a full-length fic.

I was updating my profile on fanfiction.net the other day (cleaning out everything it said when I created the account - I was, I believe, somewhere around 13 or 14 at the time), and started to make a list of all of the pairings that I read fanfiction for. Maggie's blood was seeping out from between the nails in tiny rivers, all merging to pour onto the dirt floor. Matt wretched, and Sebastian hugged his shoulders tightly, trying to block his brother's view of the gore.
Maggie pulled her hands up to her face, coolly watching her wrist muscles contort and twist. She tried to block out the feeling, because that was what threatened to make her sick - the warm blood trickling out of the series of tears in her hands and arms. Her arms raised themselves - or so she thought, until she saw John holding them - above her head.
"I'm dizzy," she said quietly, but John didn't seem to hear, too focused on the task at hand."

Okay, so I like it, see? I don't really like that her wrists took as much damage as they did, but I wasn't exactly going for realistic in this story anyway 0.0 That sorts went out the window as soon as "traveling circus" popped into my head.
